Polka dots or stripes?

That is such a hard question since I really love them both soooo much. But, if you were to look into my closet right now I would have to say stripes! They have taken over my wardrobe, t-shirts, sweaters, pants, skirts…pretty much everything! I just love how simple but chic stripes can look, and they somehow always seem to help make the outfit better.

What is your go-to sunglasses shape?

20160227_134626.jpgI hardly wear sunglasses now since I’ve converted back to wearing my glasses instead of contacts after 5 years of science labs where contacts are forbidden due to health rules. And even after graduating, I stuck with wearing glasses since it’s so much easier, but when I do have the time or feel like wearing sunglasses, it would have to be my black round sunglasses.

If you were to live in one country for the rest of your life, where would it be?

It would have to be America, I haven’t visited another country long enough to see if I could survive there for the rest of my life. But, I always wanted to try and live in France, which is why I ended up taking French as my second language in high school (sadly…my French isn’t as good as it was while I was in high school). But I would love to go there!!

What is your favorite store?

That is hard one…all time favorite would have to be Target. It just has everything you need and everything you don’t, but still, want to buy. You go there with a list of 5 things and you walk out with bags of stuff you didn’t even write down. When I was in college my best friend/roommate and I would always take study breaks walking to Target. We would just walk around the store and maybe buy something for dinner or look through the sale racks of clothes.

What is your go-to hairstyle?

Usually, I just leave it down. My hair type is thick, wavy, and heavy, which means I can’t have it up in a ponytail or bun for too long or I’ll start to have a headache. But, if I need it out of my way like when I exercise or in a lab, I usually french braid it or tie it in a low loose bun. After showering, I would french braid my hair to keep the shape of my waves or else I will wake up with HUGE poofy hair from my hair being frizzy.

What is your aesthetic?

Simple lines with one pop of color. I tend to dress in a lot of black and white and allow whatever glasses I decide for the day to give character to my outfit. My go-to these days have been my red large frame glasses, I have been wearing them since college and have converted a lot of friends to try color glasses rather than the normal black or metal frame ones. (Nothing against those glasses, but I have always been fond of plastic colored glasses over black or brown ones)

What is your favorite thing to have for breakfast?

These days it’s my gluten-free banana pancakes and a tall cup of hot coffee with Cinnamon roll creamer! So good! I started eating these in college when I needed something hot but fast to make at 5 am and I knew would keep we full until my late lunch around 3 pm. If you never had banana pancakes before I highly suggest you try them.

How do you find inspiration for blogging?

Since I was little, I always kept a journal and wrote about my day, dreams and goals, or just random words that come to mind. I usually always have my phone or notepad near me so when I start thinking of an idea, I just write it down and at the end of the week I look back to the list and see if there is anything that still sparks joy within me, and if there is them I will start brainstorming and planning the blog post content. I am grateful for my large backyard that is full of flower and trees thanks to my parent’s hard work when I’m feeling down or my mind is crowded, I like to take a walk in my backyard and just submerge myself in nature and that usually helps me become more level-minded.

Who is your celebrity look-alike?

V_20180226_133826When I was little I got the nickname little Angelina Jolie because my lips looked like hers hahaha (in middle and high school I would line my lips so that they would appear smaller to match my face, but now I just leave them as they are). But now that I’m older, when I was attending college some of the international students I used to work with told me that I look like some of the C-pop and K-pop idols. Which is all very flattering since they are all so pretty!

What is one food that you would love to try?

I don’t really have one food that I would love to try…one of my hobbies is going out and trying new foods, but there isn’t anything that is really new that I haven’t had before. But since I love sushi, maybe eating sushi in Japan? I heard that sushi in Japan tastes different due to the chefs that prepare it! I’m hoping to travel to Japan sometime soon, maybe within the next year so I can’t wait to taste all the yummy food there!!

My questions:

  1. Milk or Dark Chocolate?
  2. What is your typical Friday night?
  3. Where is your dream vacation located?
  4. What is your life motto?
  5. What is your go-to lunch spot?
  6. Would you rather be in hot or cold weather?
  7. Where you like to shop for clothes?
  8. Sneakers or sandals?
  9. How did you get into blogging?
  10. Who is your biggest inspiration?

I had so much fun answering the questions from Ella, so thank you so much to her for nominating me! I hope the bloggers I nominated also have fun answering the questions I thought up for them! I feel that through these nominations bloggers can find others similar to themselves and also new bloggers to support.

Every day, Lai day! I can’t wait for a bowl of ice cream tonight!
